Col Finley
Col Finley is Australia's Best Kept Secret. Over the years Col Finley has wowed audiences with his dynamic brand of entertainment at pubs, clubs & festivals around Australia and overseas. Col has been a fixture at Australia’s famous Mud Bulls & Music , Gympie Muster and Monkerai BnS and over the last 5yrs toured the USA for Fan Fair in Nashville, SXSW in Austin Texas, St Louis, Memphis, New Orleans to name a few. His energetic live performances have won him a large and loyal following everywhere he plays.
Raised in Grafton, Australia, making music is one of Col’s lifelong passions but it wasn’t always this way. Before serious injury blocked his path, Col had his heart set on professional rugby league with the mighty Illawarra Steelers, now are a major partner in the successful NRL franchise the St George Illawarra Dragons.
Rather than dwelling on his misfortune, Col followed a family tradition and joined the Royal Australian Air force, specialising in the training of police dogs. While training Police Dogs paid the bills, Col continued to write songs and jam with friends. As much as Col loved the Air Force and thrived on knowing he could make a difference to the defence of Australia, the lure of a music career proved too strong.
Col Finley released and performed his brand new single “Get Your Country On”
From his 4th Album “Paradise” due for release this year
Col's talents as a song writer and a recording artist are only now starting to receive the long overdue recognition he so richly deserves.
“Get Your Country On” debuted on the national Aria Singles Chart at No. 7 above Silverchair and the Rouge Traders, and on the International Aria Singles Chart at No. 31.
“Get Your Country On” also delivered Col Finley a chart topping debut on the Australian Independent Charts, outstripping Ben Lee, Danni Minouge, Beccy Cole and Lee Kernigan and maintained this position for 2 consecutive weeks.
Col Finley isn’t your typical rock star and is always happy to make time for his fans. People find it easy to relate to Col and his music because he writes and sings straight from the heart.
