Monkerai 2007 "WOW WHAT A BALL"
THANK YOU for all that attended we had just over 1600. Which was up from last year? It looked like more, but I think it was because all of the Utes and cars rolling in all day. We were trying to figure out the line up being so long, but there was allot of people driving just 1 up.
Both Bands did a fantastic job, they really enjoy playing at the ball, it’s such a different venue and crowd to what they normally play to. Crash Avenue have played with us for the past 5 years, they are really talented, Anothy Snape who is the lead singer has brought out his own album and is off to the states for a stint. So the other lead singer that plays with them is called David, He is on AUSTRALIAN IDOL at the moment, the fellow form Newcastle so we should all get behind him.
Col Finley thanked us for the best night of his year; he just loves the whole atmosphere of the ball tradition!! He has just announced his engagement which is excellent, such a nice girl. Remember to watch out for his Doco.
Again thanks for being such a well behaved crowd at the ball, it determines whether we can have the ball again each year. The Police rang to say that there was only one DUI, which is fantastic.
I will post the other placements of the Ute show once I get through the paper work.
Thanks for helping us make it one of the best balls in Australia and keeping the dream alive – we will see you all here to do it again........
